In order to guarantee a responsible supply chain, we share with our suppliers the Integral Management System Policy and the Suppliers’ Manual. Both documents establish our commitment to taking care of the environment and we ask our business partners recognition of and abidance of those documents.
As part of our human rights practices, we always require of all suppliers that offer to provide services at our facilities, official documentation guaranteeing its compliance with minimum age requirements, as well as its registration with any social security service.

As part of our supplier selection and evaluation, we apply a supplier pre-evaluation questionnaire in which we request evidence of compliance with a Sustainability Management System or a self-evaluation of its performance.

We evaluated the supplier’s performance with each delivery and in the event we detected any shortcomings we sent a non-compliant service report that becomes part of the semester compliance calculation against the total of services for the period.
Currently, 80% of our raw material suppliers and 70% of our transportation suppliers are rated as trustworthy by this measure. To follow up with suppliers who fail to comply with the required standards, we have designed plans of action in order to work together to obtain tangible improvements.
In the above-mentioned manual, we provide contact numbers suppliers can use, to report any breach of these guidelines through a transparent hotline. We also have complaint boxes for neighboring community to report environmental risks. As a result, in 2016, we received no complaints of this kind.
